    Day 7

Another late wake-up... Left the hotel at about 12.30pm and head over to our first stop for the day - Sun Yat Sen Memorial Hall. It's about 9mins from Taipei Main Station.

    It's FREE Admission.

But there's nothing much to see (I'm not a history buff). Only the usual Guard Changing Ceremony which was the main highlight. It could be missed. =)

We stayed around for less than half an hour. As we were venturing around, we went out on the opposite exit and realised the Taipei 101 seems pretty near. An impromptu decision was made - we're walking over to Taipei 101 from Sun Yat Sen Memorial Hall! =D

On our way, we past by this park opposite the Taipei City Hall, and realise it actually give a great picture taking spot of the Taipei 1010, was glad we decided to walk and was lucky to chance upon this spot too! =)

    We're reaching soon!!!

Interesting pedestrain crossing, you could actually cross diagonally!

And yes, here we are at Taipei 101 Mall! It took approximately 15mins walk with candid picture taking along the way *hehez...

Our entrance ticket! But was a tad disappointed when the lady at the counter told us as it was raining this morning the Outdoor Observatory on the 91st floor is closed. ='(

See - Sun Yat Sen Memorial Hall is just there!~
BTW, on the 89th floor, you could actually get a FREE Audio Player from the counter with your admission ticket stub and it will provide description and introduction as you move from one section to another on your own. It was a really interesting way to explore the place on your own - without engaging a tour guide. =)

Aerial view of Sun Yat Sen Memorial Hall. =D

While we were touring around 89th floor, we suddenly heard the announcement that 91st Floor Outdoor Obervatory was open! Were we lucky or what, so in order not to miss it, we immediately we went up. It was so cool!~

We were really damn lucky coz we only got to stayed for approximately 15mins, before the weather decides to change it's mood and it starts to get cloudy and started to rain, hence we were hurriedly ushered out of 91st floor back to 89th. =(
But lucky, at least this trip was not wasted as we get to explore ALL 3 levels - 88th, 89th and 91st floors.

See how fast the weather changes? It's all so misty now - picture taken when we went back to the 89th floor.

Next is the 88th floor which showcases the

Picture taken by the Taipei 101 staff - you need to pay to get this. There's 2 version - Daytime & Nighttime. One picture NTD350. Two picture NTD500. And we got just the night view one. =) As the contrast and overall picture look nicer *heez.
