    Day 6 - Happy 2nd Anniversary!~


    View from our Breakfast @ KFC...

    We passed by 2 hotel that we initially shortlisted as well - Orange Forte & Miyi Hotel.

    As usual, went over to get Hubby's daily dosage of 咸豆浆。

    And this is our 葱抓饼夹蛋。。。

    First Stop - XiMenDing Movie/Cinema Street

    Their movie ticket is super expensive. So Singaporeans shouldn't complain anymore!


    One ticket is almost 20bucks and if you watch 3D it's even more expensive!


    So in the end, Hubby did not get to catch his Clash of Titans in 3D there. We decided to return to Singapore to catch it - $7 with HSBC card only... See~


    So we can only make do with posters there for the time being.

    Next, went over to Modern Toilet (便所餐厅) for lunch.

    Ximen Station 西门捷运站 > Exit 6 -> There is a lane with lots of Tattoo shops near the Neoprint building (3 storeys with colorful Neon lights in the heart of XMD) > Walk through the lane > Cross the road at the end to a 7-11 store opposite a multi-storey carpark > The restaurant is just in front of the two.

    The fries were pretty good.

    The not-so-nice ice cream, though is FREE. I saw quite a few customers left it unfinished as well.

    Overall nothing fantastic, just the theme.

    Next went over to the shop where Jerry frequented in Down with Love to buy sweets for Ella and I bought a few fanciful stuff =) *heez.

    And we got this cute couple from a lady on the street, these were handmade by her and she was actually a burnt victim, her injury were quite serious - fingers were gone. =(

    The SUPER CHEAP coat I got! NTD290 only = about SGD13... GOOD BUY! GOOD BUY! *hehez... But not sure after this trip when am I going to use it again =P But who cares! It was cheap. =P

    After resting at the hotel for the afternoon, we freshen up and left the hotel @ 5.45pm to head over to The TOP - 屋頂上 Restaurant for our dinner!

    We took the MRT to Shilin Station and cab from there. Reached the restaurant at about 7pm.

    Look at our background in the photo... it's the skyline of Taipei City!! And it's pretty cold...

    We ordered the 烧烤套餐 2人分 @ NT980.

    1. 野菜沙拉 （千岛）- this salad was really very fresh...

    2. 酱烧牛五花 (Beef)

    3. Hubby's 热菊花茶 - hot chrysanthamum

    Other than the BBQ set, we also top up NTD200 to get the steamboat - 屋顶分享锅.
    Total Bill: NTD1,298 = SGD60 ONLY!!!

    Although we're sitted inside the tent, we can still feel the cold wind... really cold coz we're high up there, lucky I got this coat! *hehez...

    We were sitted in Zone F.
    The picture below is Zone H... the lowest level of the restaurant, with plush cushions. Too bad it was raining during the day, hence the sofas are all soaked with water and was not recommended for sitting.

    Zone H was where Jerry Yen sat in the drama!

    Time to say good-bye...

    This is Zone A. Right beside the entrance.

    We left at about 9pm. Spent about 2 hrs here. It was a really good experience. It's a MUST go! Be it couples or friends!

    At the end of the dinner, we got the restaurant staff to call cab for us to send us back to the city. And it was very fast and efficient, the cab was here in less than 3mins.

    No reservation was allowed for this restaurant because they only accept reservations if u are going to get the Tent look alike “room” for a minimum spending of NT 3000. Others Indoor and Outdoor Non-Sheltered area are first come first serve basis.

    Bear in mind that zone C, D , E, F , G, H only opens after 6pm on weekdays while after 5pm on weekends.

    Other than taking cab up to the restaurant, you could also take bus 紅5 (R5) at MRT Jiantan station and alight at 文化大學, then walk to the restaurant.

    We got the cab driver to send us to Shilin Night Market (士林夜市).

    Highly Recommended Dishes: 刀削面, 猪肝汤, 蚵仔煎, 高雄肉丸, 大饼包小饼, 士林大香肠, 蕃茄沾姜汁, 东山鸭头, 青蛙下蛋, 炒花枝, 红油抄手等, 大饼包小饼, 生炒花枝羹, 十全排骨, 士林青蛙下蛋

    We did not try everything as we were too full from our dinner!

    Shopping area is along Wen Lin Rd, you could go to the NTD95 shop.


    We were back in our hotel at about 11am. Took the train from Shilin MRT to Taipei Main Station. Did not get anything from there though.
